ZAO Silk Foundation Review and Swatches

ZAO Silk Foundation

OK, so while the packaging of a foundation shouldn’t really be important, the ZAO Silk Foundation just looks incredible! However, packagine does not reflect the quality of a product – so let’s jump in and see if this really is as good as it looks! ZAO products are free from Parabens and Toxic Preservatives, and – obviously – Cruelty Free!

ZAO Silk Foundation

ZAO Claims:
The light texture of ZAO Silk Foundation applies easily and meets the needs of those who like a luminous complexion with full coverage and a natural finish. Besides organic silica contained in bamboo hydrosol, organic sweet almond oil, jojoba and shea butter give this foundation a nourishing effect. It has a mattifying finish and uniform coverage for a long lasting coverage throughout the day.

ZAO Silk Foundation

The first thing that strikes me with this foundation (other than the gorgeous packaging of course!) is the beautiful texture that I can only describe as “silky”. It almost feels like a moisturiser, it is SO light and creamy. I find applying this with a damp sponge gives the most flawless finish, although it does blend beautifully with a brush too. This foundation is described as “strong coverage”, and it really is incredible how something so light can do so much! Definitely a full coverage foundation, but it doesn’t look cakey!

ZAO Silk Foundation SwatchesI would say there is a demi-matte finish to this foundation that keeps it looking completely natural. The shade range is fairly decent with 9 shades – I have the shade “Light Sand” which is absolutely perfect for my yellow-toned pale skin. I must say though, even if you aren’t sure on your exact shade match this product is so blendable that it would be so easy to make it work regardless!

ZAO Silk Foundation Swatches

In regards to the packaging I have probably said enough, but just in case…. This is frosted glass with a pump applicator – and the bamboo lid!? Just amazing. While the glass is probably not the most travel friendly, it feels and looks absolutely stunning on display and really doesn’t seem that heavy! Mine also came in a cute little case too!

ZAO Silk Foundation

Price wise the ZAO Silk Foundation is at the higher end of what I would normally be willing to spend on a foundation – £34.95. While I wouldn’t usually use a more expensive foundation on an every day basis and would probably save it for special occasions, a little goes a very long way with this – one pump is enough to cover my entire face – so this will last for SUCH a long time even using every day! (Plus I do have a discount code below!)

With such an incredible finish and with so little product needed, the ZAO Silk Foundation really is an absolute joy! In my opinion this is definitely worth spending some extra pennies on, I see it as more of an investment! Beautiful packaging for a beautiful product!

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer Review & Swatches

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define

I have finally got my hands on the hyped up Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer! These concealers were a pretty big launch from Makeup Revolution, and some are describing this as a dupe for the infamous Tarte Shape Tape Concealer (which is considerably more expensive!). So! Let’s dive in!

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define

Makeup Revolution Claims:
The concealer for everyone. 25 shades ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertones. Lightweight yet full coverage concealer to cover blemishes, even skin tone and counteract dark circles, with a matte finish that won’t settle or accentuate fine lines and pores. Long wearing intense pigment that can also be used to contour and add definition. Our large doe foot applicator allows for smooth application that won’t drag on the delicate skin under your eyes.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Swatches

Firstly, I think the shade range needs to be mentioned again…. 25 shades!? Absolutely incredible! I found my shades quite easily as I already have the Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation (Full Review Here) so that is a pretty accurate guide, but Makeup Revolution do have full shade descriptions :

C0 – pure white. For the fairest skin tones.
C0.5 – For fair skin tones with a pink undertone
C1 – For fair skin tones with neutral undertone
C2 – For fair skin tones with yellow undertone
C3 – For fair skin tones with neutral undertone
C4 – For light skin tones with pink undertone
C5 – For light skin tones with golden undertone
C6 – For light/medium skin tones with neutral undertone
C6.5 – For light/medium skin tones with a yellow undertone
C7 – For medium skin tones with peach undertone
C8 – For medium skin tones with a golden undertone
C8.5 – For medium skin tones with a yellow undertone
C9 – For medium skin tones with a peach undertone
C10 – For medium skin tones with a golden undertone
C10.5 – For medium skin tones with a yellow undertone
C11 – For medium/dark skin tones with a golden undertone
C12 – For medium/dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
C12.5 – For medium/dark skin tones with a golden undertone
C13 – For dark skin tones with a warm undertone
C13.5 – For dark skin tones with a neutral undertone

C16 – For dark skin tones with a warm undertone
C17 – For dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
C18 – For dark skin tones with a warm undertone

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define

So! Once you have found your shades the fun really begins! The first amazing thing about these beauties is the packaging. Slightly “fatter” than typical concealer packaging but I love it! Plus this allows for the mega doe foot applicator which is honestly epic (and for some reason ridiculously satisfying to look at….). This combined with the rose gold detailing I think the packaging in general is pretty perfect.

I have the shades C0, C2 & C6. While it may seem like quite a jump between C2 & C6 these are actually my perfect shades depending on whether I have fake tanned or not! And as with their foundation stick I just mix them together when I am somewhere in the middle. I also picked up the white mixer just in case and this is SO stunning! I tend to like my concealer to look as natural as possible on a day to day basis, but when I am doing more of a full face of makeup mixing C0 with C2 lightens everything up to cover and highlight under the eyes.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Swatches
(Left to Right) C0, C2, C6

Of course it doesn’t really matter what the packaging is like (or shouldn’t anyway..) and it comes down to the actual product. Thankfully, this concealer is genuinely beautiful. The application is a dream (again, super satisfying using the giant doe foot!) and the consistency is so creamy. As far as coverage goes for me it is bang on. It is fairly full coverage, but doesn’t completely blank everything out. It blends out beautifully – I just use my finger – and doesn’t crease or break up throughout the day. If you are looking for a concealer that literally covers everything then this layers up brilliantly. I wouldn’t necessarily go with more than 2 layers of this as it may start to look a bit cakey, but it is really easy to build up. It does dry down fairly quickly so bare that in mind too.

Overall, I am obsessed. At £4.00 – yes, £4.00, the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer is absolutely genius. It is so easy to customize the coverage of this and the shades match perfectly. Even when building up the coverage it still looks natural! It really is just fabulous – more please!!!!

PHB Pure Skin Organic Liquid Foundation Review & Swatches

PHB Pure Skin Organic Liquid Foundation Swatches

So here we have another new addition to my foundation collection. The PHB Pure Skin Organic Liquid Foundation is described as being full coverage with a natural finish – sounds incredible yes!? This is currently the only liquid foundation from the PHB collection, so let’s dive in!

PHB Pure Skin Organic Liquid Foundation

PHB Claims:
Skin nourishing liquid foundation that blurs the line between makeup and skin care. Made with organic ingredients that nourish and protect skin. Long lasting and full coverage foundation with a light and silky texture that won’t clog pores. Provides a natural looking flawless finish.

PHB Pure Skin Organic Liquid Foundation Swatches

This description sounds pretty epic! Any foundation that can also act as skin care is a winner in my book, so I couldn’t wait to give this a whirl. And I must say they are pretty bang on with the coverage and finish description. This is definitely on the thicker side of foundations, but it does blend out beautifully – although personally I find this works best over a dewy primer due to its thick consistency. It dries down fairly quickly too which is worth noting, but the finish is absolutely stunning! It is what I would call a “satin matte”. Not oily or particularly dewy, but it has a subtle sheen which gives a really gorgeous finish. It also doesn’t feel sticky at all, but at the same time it doesn’t feel powdery either! It just feels like super soft skin!

In regards to lasting power this is pretty impressive. After a full day it does tend to sink in to a few lines (which is normal for me) but what I love is it doesn’t start breaking up or getting patchy.

PHB Pure Skin Organic Liquid Foundation Swatches

The PHB Pure Skin Organic Liquid Foundation comes in 6 shades which I know isn’t a huge range, but they all have fabulous undertones making them blend in with the skin easily. I have the shade Medium Rose, and this is perfect for when I have fake tanned! It does oxidize a little so bare that in mind too.

Price wise this foundation is in the middle at £19.95 (site wide discount code below!), but due to the coverage it gives a little goes a long way so this will last you well! The packaging I LOVE. It looks so clean and “green” – so simple but so beautiful.

PHB Pure Skin Organic Liquid Foundation

So overall, I wouldn’t necessarily use this on an every day basis as I tend to steer towards a lighter coverage and BB Creams. However, for days when I want that extra coverage and a more flawless finish it is literally perfect! The finish is stunning and I can depend on this to last well. As a first impression of the brand too, the PHB Pure Skin Organic Liquid Foundation is definitely a very good start – I can’t wait to try out more of their collection!

BWC Ultimate Natural Liquid Foundation Review & Swatches

BWC Natural Liquid Foundation

BWC (Beauty Without Cruelty) is a stunning Cruelty Free Makeup brand that is fairly new to my collection. The first product I am trying from them is the BWC Ultimate Natural Liquid Foundation, and we are off to a very good start!

BWC Natural Liquid Foundation

BWC Claims:
Ultimate Natural Liquid Foundation fortifies skin with a list of nourishing ingredients including Pentavitin for lasting deep hydration even under the driest conditions, jojoba and vitamin E to maintain the skin’s elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Rice bran wax also creates a smother application and finish. Build-able coverage allows you to customize your look from light to full coverage.

So skincare AND a foundation!? Double winner! BWC’s description is pretty spot on actually, this foundation is super hydrating – but not greasy or oily at all! I typically have combination skin which does tend to get a bit shiny throughout the day – but this lasts well!

BWC Natural Liquid FoundationThe coverage of this foundation is definitely a plus, it is so easy to build up to the coverage you would like without it looking cakey! When first pumping out the foundation it does appear to be quite thick (alarm bells went off in my head….) but this is so deceiving. As soon as I began blending into the skin it just melts into a beautiful “fluid” with a satin matte finish. There is a slight scent to it, I can’t quite put my finger on what it is – just a “clean” scent – but it is SO subtle that you’d have to be literally sniffing my face to even detect it.

BWC Natural Liquid FoundationThe shade range for this foundation is on the smaller side, but the undertones of all 5 shades are beautiful and seem to just blend in with the skin tone. I have the shade Light, and while this does already have a yellow base my skins undertone is actually even more yellow (not like a Simpson I promise..). That being said, I can still wear this foundation so easily without having to intermix other products in to make it match – it just blends and works!

Price wise this is pretty affordable on the scale of Cruelty Free foundations, coming in at £12.50 – although I do have a site wide discount code at the end of this post!

Overall, this is a great every day foundation – or even every night! The build-able formula is just genius and you can choose your desired coverage! As an introduction to the brand, the BWC Ultimate Natural Liquid Foundation has won me over, and I can’t wait to try more of their collection!

INIKA Liquid Foundation

When it comes to Cruelty Free Foundations I have previously been a little set in my ways and haven’t branched out to try new products – until now! And starting with the INIKA Certified Organic Liquid Foundation, I love the finish am so relieved that this is a success! A beautiful foundation, it is right up my street!

INIKA Claims:

INIKA Certified Organic Liquid Foundation combines natural antioxidants, minerals and Certified Organic ingredients to hydrate and illuminate the skin.

INIKA Liquid Foundation - Swatches

INIKA’s description of their Liquid Foundation is short and sweet, but nicely rounds up what this foundation is all about. The finish is absolutely stunning, somewhere between matte and glowy – this gives the perfect balance of illuminating the skin without getting oily.

I would say this foundation has a medium coverage, but is so buildable. It looks SO natural and lasts amazingly well, and at the end of the day it wears down so naturally – no patchiness or separating in sight! Just perfect!! The consistency is fabulous as for me it is bang in the middle – not too runny to slide all over the place, but not too thick either keeping the natural finish. It gives the coverage without the cake!

INIKA Liquid Foundation - NudeThere are 8 shades in this foundation, all of which will suit any skin tone perfectly. While this isn’t a huge range of shades, the undertones in them are perfect. I have the shade “Nude”, and while there is a small amount of oxidisation, this was actually a great thing as the shade works beautifully with my pale yellow-toned skin. They have pretty detailed shade descriptions on the website so it is super easy to match yourself up!

INIKA Liquid Foundation

This packaging is so chic! It is almost a frosted matte black and the gold detailing gives an extra edge of class. The pump applicator makes it so easy to use and avoids any mess or product wastage. I use one good pump and this covers my entire face. At £33.00, it isn’t the cheapest foundation I have tried, but in my opinion is definitely worth the extra pennies – plus MeiKind have kindly given me a site wide 10% discount code for you below!

Due to its consistency a little goes a long way, and even though this a new foundation for me I already know I can depend on this when I need my skin to look good and last! The INIKA Liquid Foundation is a beautiful product from a beautiful brand – and going on the quality of this foundation I can’t wait to try out some more products from their collection!

Lottie London Blush Crush

Lottie London Blush Crush is among the cutest blushers I think I have seen! I started with one of these, and now have three. They are just so darn adorable! There is an amazing colour range and they are so affordable. Named after male celebrities, these addictive blushers are so satisfying in so many ways!

Lottie London Blush Crush

Lottie London Claims:
A collection of easily blendable powder blushes, inspired by your favourite celeb crushes! Achieve perfectly pinched cheeks worthy of any selfie queen. Available in 6 beautiful and long-lasting shades to intensify your rosy glow. Simply swirl and pop onto cheekbones!

The most difficult part of this collection is deciding between your favourite shade or your favourite person, but either way I am hooked! I have the shades “Justin”, “Nick” and “Harry” (although I chose these for the shades and not the person they represent…. definitely… I think…).

Lottie London Justin

Lottie London Justin“Justin” is a gorgeous soft blush in the perfect rose shade. Totally matte, this is the most natural looking blush out of the three.

Lottie London NickLottie London Nick“Nick” is definitely pink! It is the brightest blush of these and has a shimmer finish (a subtle shimmer though, more glowy than glitter).

Lottie London HarryLottie London Harry“Harry” is a gorgeous deep red toned blush. Something like this would normally be out of my comfort zone, but the shade is muted and more on the natural side – probably now my favourite!

Lottie London Blush Crush

Lottie London Blush Crush

The pigmentation of these is superb. They are not over the top (so there isn’t the risk of looking like a clown…) but they are pigmented enough to build up and they blend like a dream. They are powder (obviously) but have an almost creamy feel to them which is probably what makes them look so natural and flawless. No chalkiness in sight!

Packaging wise we have established that they are beyond cute – but they are genuinely bang on. The size is perfect to travel around (and there is a mirror!), and the amount of product included is in my opinion very generous! These are priced at £4.95, which makes me rather happy! Super affordable and a shade for every skin tone and occasion! The Blush Crush Powder Blushes are simply genius – and if you can’t pick your favourite (like me) then just get the lot – after all it would be rude to leave anyone out right!?

No7 Skin Illuminator Review

No7 Skin Illuminator

No7No7 has such a wide range of products it can sometimes be difficult to know where to start! I came across the No7 Skin Illuminator when I was actually looking for a glowy BB cream. And while this doesn’t provide coverage, it does give such a beautiful glowy sheen to the skin and I have fallen in love with it!

No7 Skin IlluminatorNo7 Claims:
Multi-faceted light reflectors instantly enhance your complexion, for a natural looking radiance.

And that’s it. It literally does what it says on the tin (or tube in this case). I think that what I love so much about this is just how natural it is. If you’re looking for a blinding highlight then this probably isn’t the product for you, but it gives a radiant glowy finish to the skin that is so addictive! I use it under a BB cream, as I think putting a full coverage foundation over the top would just cover up the gorgeous finish of this and would be a bit pointless! As I mentioned earlier this product doesn’t provide any coverage, but it makes skin look so healthy I end up trying to cover up as little as possible! A thin layer over the top of a moisturiser on “no makeup” days is spot on.

No7 Skin Illuminator

The No7 Skin Illuminator comes in 2 shades. I have the shade Nude and it is absolutely perfect. They also have a Bronze shade which I am desperate to try out as I think it will be beautiful for Summer.

The packaging is great, and I love the simple design of No7 products – keeping it looking classic and elegant. The 30ml tube will last ages, as a pea sized amount (a small pea – think “petit-pois”) literally covers the whole face. Priced at £12.50 this can seem on the expensive side compared to other brands with primer style products, but the No7 Skin Illuminator is completely different to any product I have used.

So even though my first encounter with this product was on a search for something different, I am SO glad I found it! A wonderful happy accident – some things are just meant to be!

So I may be a little later than most to jump on this wagon, but in my defense they were out of stock so darn often! And I can see why. The Makeup Revolution Soph X collaboration produced 2 palettes – an Eyeshadow Palette and a Highlighter Palette, and they – are – epic!

Makeup Revolution Soph X

Makeup Revolution Soph X Eyeshadow PaletteMakeup Revolution Soph X

“The 24 versatile shades give you everything you need to create your look no matter what time of year, whether you’re looking for light shimmers, warm browns, rich golds, rusty oranges, dark smokey shades or even a pop of colour – this palette is for you! – Soph x”

Makeup Revolution Soph X

My gosh the girl did good! The selection of shades in this palette are amazing and right up my street! There are 14 matte shades and 10 shimmers, perfect for literally any eye look you can think of! The infamous “Cuppa Tea” is literally just life. It is the most flattering shade that will suit any skin tone, and sits perfectly with all the other shades in this palette. As a lover of olive toned shadows, “Pine Tree” & “Petrol” are also among my top favourites in this palette. And while there are some shades that I wouldn’t usually go for, they sit next to such complementing shades in the palette that it is so inspiring just to look at!

Makeup Revolution Soph X

Makeup Revolution Soph X Highlighter PaletteMakeup Revolution Soph X

“With 8 different shades, you can pick your favorites or mix and match colours to create the perfect glow for your skin tone. You know what they say… you can NEVER have enough higligter! – Soph x”

Makeup Revolution Soph X

While I don’t 100% agree with Soph’s statement (I do think that there is a line when enough highlighter is enough – or at least there should be in some cases!) I do completely adore her highlighting palette! The various shades she has put into this palette are so dreamy! There are such different tones to these highlighters, and there are 5 baked and 3 pressed depending on the desired finish. Being a fan of all things bronze my favourites have to be those on the right hand side (there are no shade names) and even though I think these were designed with darker skin tones in mind (as I have mentioned before I am on the paler side..) I absolutely love the subtle bronze and gold sheen that these highlighters give. Those along with the brighter highlighters makes this palette an absolute go to!

So overall, these palettes are basically just awesome. The shades are so beautifully selected, and as with all Makeup Revolution palettes the pigmentation is amazing. The packaging is absolutely stunning, and I love the nude and gold theme that Soph has used. Price wise again for Makeup Revolution these palettes are super affordable, with the Eyeshadow Palette priced at £10.00 and the Highlighter Palette priced at £8.00. The Makeup Revolution Soph X Collaboration is pure genius, and even with all the hype that already surrounded these palettes I am still very impressed – and very obsessed!

MUA Lipstick

These MUA Lipsticks are like little bullets of pure colour! The shade range is awesome – and for such an affordable brand is really impressive! I would say that it makes it difficult to decide on which shades to get, but when you see the price of these lipsticks you will understand why it is perfectly acceptable to just get them all!!

MUA Claims:
MUA Lipsticks offer a shade for every occasion in easy to wear colours.
With just one swipe you’ll have fantastic colour pay off resulting in gorgeous lips! Why not pick a shade you’ve not tried before and get a new look?

And why not indeed MUA! While these shades are so pigmented, there are bang on by saying that they are easy to wear. All of them! Even the brightest shades seem to immediately look “right” even if they are out of your comfort zone. I started with 8 shades, and while their shade-naming system does seem a bit random I will do my best to give my own description for each!

MUA Lipstick MUA Lipstick

Bare – Exactly what I would call a Nude with a beige/neutral undertone.

Shade 9 – Unusual shade! Definitely a nude but with more of a brown undertone and a shimmer finish.

Shade 7 – Gorgeous! A beautiful and subtle pale pink – perfect for Spring & Summer!

Tulip – A stunning baby pink, brighter but still wearable and would suit everyone.

Pomegranate – A more vibrant hot pink with red undertones, great for a more colourful look.

Coral Flush – Exactly what it says on the tin. A bright but understated coral.

Shade 13 – I would refer to this as a “glamourous” red – bright but elegant.

Vintage Rouge – A deep red with rich brown undertones.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

As someone who usually sticks with a nude lip, a few of these would definitely normally be out of my comfort zone (Pomegranate & Coral Flush for example). That being said, I am so glad I mixed up my usual choices! These colours really are stunning, and this is just 8 shades from the range – there are 18 in total to choose from! If I had to choose my current favourites I would go with Shade 7, Tulip and Vintage Rouge.

The application of these is great, very smooth and easy to glide on (however they are firm enough not to make a complete mess as would probably be the case using brighter shades with me…). In regards to staying power, these do transfer. Not horrendously, but if you’re eating or drinking just bare in mind that the more vibrant shades may wear off. It is super easy to layer these up though, so just a quick touch up is all you’d need.

MUA Lipstick

Packaging wise these are pretty standard as lipstick packaging goes, glossy black packaging with the shade showing at the bottom. These aren’t the most heavy duty lipsticks I’ve seen, but for the price I think they are spot on.

So here is the big part. The price. Now to me, affordable lipsticks pretty much means anything under £10 (under £5 and I start getting a little too over excited). But, the MUA Lipsticks come in at……. £1.00. £1.00! How is that even possible!? Either way, MUA is serious. The quality of these lipsticks for that price is insane!

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation Review & Swatches

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation Review & Swatches

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation Review & Swatches

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation

Now this is an exciting product!! Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation has had a lot of hype building up to its launch, and I will admit I was among those waiting online for its launch ready to buy them before they sold out! Stick Foundations have become a popular alternative to traditional Foundations, providing a fuller coverage and quicker application. So when Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation was about to launch, I was ready to dive straight in!

Makeup Revolution Claims:

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation

The easy-to-apply stick formula melts into skin, blending seamlessly to leave a fresh and dewy finish.
Twist up, swipe on and blend out with fingers, a beauty sponge or your favourite foundation brush.

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation

The packaging of this Stick Foundation is adorable! A beautiful pink nude frosted plastic with rose gold detailing, so gorgeous. These were actually larger than I had expected too. The shade number is clearly printed on the bottom of the product, so it is easy to tell them apart if you have a more than one shade to use like I do. It twists to reveal the foundation, and there is a decent amount of product in these for a stick foundation. While other more expensive brands may contain more product in theirs, for £5.00 – yes £5.00 – the amount of product in this is exceptional value.

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation
(Left to Right) F2, F4, F6, F8

I think the most exciting feature of the Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation is the shade range. There are 18 shades to choose from! Finding your perfect match is easy with the detailed descriptions of the undertones, and at the ridiculously affordable price I chose 4 different shades (F2, F4, F6 & F8) to alternate depending on whether I have tanned or to use to bronze or define. The massive shade range is incredible for such an affordable brand, especialliay compared to others creating products in usually 6-8 shades.

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation
(Left to Right) F2, F4, F6, F8

Makeup Revolution Shade Descriptions:

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation
(Left to Right) F2, F4, F6, F8

F1 – For fair skin tones with neutral undertone
F2 – For fair skin tones with yellow undertone
F3 – For fair skin tones with pink undertone
F4 – For light skin tones with neutral undertone
F5 – For light skin tones with pink undertone
F6 – For light/medium skin tones with yellow undertone
F7 – For medium skin tones with peach undertone
F8 – For medium skin tones with yellow undertone
F9 – For medium skin tones with a peach undertone
F10- For medium skin tones with a golden undertone
F11 – For medium/dark skin tones with a beige undertone
F12 – For medium/dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
F13 – For dark skin tones with a warm undertone
F14 – for dark skin tones with a cool undertone
F15 – for dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
F16 – for dark skin tones with a warm undertone
F17 – for dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
F18 – for dark skin tones with a warm undertone

So the big question, is it actually any good? To test this out I used all 4 shades I have in different areas of my face so as to also try to define and bronze, and blended half with a brush and half with a beauty sponge. This is a pretty full coverage foundation, so try not to literally paint yourself with it as you may end up with a cake face! Start with less and add more as you need. The product goes on smoothly and glides across the skin, and to be honesty I didn’t notice much difference between using a brush or a beauty sponge. If anything I found it easier to blend with the brush compared to a sponge being my usual choice, but there really wasn’t a lot in it. The product does tend to dry fairly quickly, so i would recommend applying in sections and blending as you go.

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation

The finish I absolutely love. Full coverage (without looking like a mask), and leaving a gorgeous dewy glow. Usually I would use a setting powder, but I enjoyed the finish so much I just powdered around my eyes where I tend to crease and slightly on the t-zone to avoid getting too oily but to keep the skin glowing. It did ever so slightly cling a little to dry patches, but dampening the brush or sponge and dabbing over the top smoothed this out immediately.

Overall, I love it. Definitely worth the hype. A gorgeous product in gorgeous packaging, and so darn cheap! I think this would work perfectly with the Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer, which comes in the matching 18 shades plus more!

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation has just reinforced the brands wonderful reputation, and this is yet another new product from them to become a definite favourite of mine! Well Done Makeup Revolution!!
