Obsession Makeup “Customise” Review

Obsession Swatches

So I actually need a cup of tea to write this one. The Obsession Palettes and Refills seemed a convenient and cheap way to get some potential daily products, but they are SO much more than that! I mean yes they are ridiculously affordable (£1-£2 each – and even cheaper in sales) but they are definitely not just cheap back ups. To be honest I don’t really know where to start – but let’s give it a go!

Obsession

“Shades that fit. Looks that stand out.”

Obsession Swatches

Eyeshadows

Obsession Swatches

It really is quite difficult not to get over excited when looking at the range of shades! The pigmentation is bang on and they blend like an absolute dream. These make it super easy to create every day natual looks but the brighter options look so stunning for a more “full on” look. I can’t quite put into words how in love with these I am!

Face

Obsession Swatches

So these were the last additions to my rapidly growing collection, and they are just as awesome as the rest. Not as much of a range as with the eyeshadows which would be expected but the pigmentation and blendability (not sure that’s a word) are just stunning. They have such a natural finish but are so buildable and just look fabulous.

Obsession Swatches

Palettes

Obsession Swatches

The palettes are almost as exciting as the shades themselves! There are quite a few colour options to choose from and various sizes. Again super affordable (£2-£8) and actually look rather chic! The shadows (bought as singles) “pop out” of their original packaging and easily “pop in” to the palette. A really handy feature is that the backs of the palettes are open, so you can still read the colour names.

So overall there really aren’t enough good things I can say about this whole collection! Such beautiful quality for such an affordable price! Just a word of warning – these are addictive!

Natural Collection

So first off I’ll be frank, I bought these products just to build up my collection as they are SO cheap (everything is under £3). I wasn’t expecting much from them and just thought they would be handy to have around. BUT!!!! I am literally obsessed. I don’t know how they’ve done it, but they have. These have very quickly become products that I now use every day. How!?!?

“Natural Collection has curated a selection of cosmetics to work with your natural beauty rather than covering it up. From soft and timeless hues to a touch of colour, this is our ‘show you’ range (not ‘make up’), created to show off the best of you.
Our beauty experts have developed a simple range of lightweight, simple to use, wearable and easy to understand products that fit into your life, not take it over! Beauty isn’t about looking perfect, it’s about finding what works for you and celebrating what makes you individual. Freckles, scars, stretch marks and they are your stories, your beauty.
Embrace your natural beauty, don’t cover up, just shine!
No nonsense make up. Beauty made simple.”

Natural Collection Hydrating and Radiance Foundation

Natural Collection

“Our Hydrating and Radiance Foundation has been created with a lightweight formula that glides onto skin, giving you light coverage.
Containing moisturising and luminescent properties that will help leave skin radiant, whilst feeling beautifully hydrated. An instant boost for tired or dull looking skin.
Kind to skin. With camomile to help soothe and protect.” – £2.99

Natural Collection

So this is the product that shocked me the most. For £2.99 I was kind of expecting a cakey foundation that didn’t really cover anything or last more than 5 minutes. This miracle has become my every day base product. The finish is absolutely stunning and it somehow does last really well! It does “fade” towards the end of the day but baring in mind I work outside the fact that it lasts past lunch time at this price is impressive! Plus it fades rather than going patchy so it still looks good at the end of the day. The coverage is more on the natural side, but I absolutely love it. I am usually a BB Cream girl but this is definitely more coverage than a standard BB Cream. I have the shade “Cameo” which matches my current skin tone (a little tanned) bang on, and I will definitely be picking up a lighter shade for when this sunshine disappears. I just love it.

Natural Collection Powder Blusher & Bronzing Powder

Natural Collection

“Our Blushers have been created to give a hint of natural colour, adding a delicate glow to your complexion. It’s easy to blend and build, to help you create your perfect everyday look.
Enriched with Camomile to help soothe and protect.” – £1.99

Natural Collection

“Our Bronzing Powder is lightly tinted to add a natural, healthy glow to your complexion. Infused with golden pearl, this subtly frosted Bronzing Powder enhances the warmth of your skin and is blendable and buildable, for a natural sunkissed look. This powder is great for use on its own for a more natural finish or over your base for a more intense glow.
Enriched with Camomile to help soothe and protect.” – £1.99

Again these two products are just life. They have such a stunning finish to them and look so natural. I have the shades “Peach Melba (Blush)” and “Golden Glow (Bronzer)”. If you’re after a strong sharp contour and a bright blush then these probably aren’t what you’re looking for, but to warm up the skin and add some subtle colour to the cheeks these are fabulous.

Natural Collection Mono Eyeshadow

Natural Collection

“Our Mono Eyeshadows have been created to give beautifully pigmented colour.
Our soft and creamy formula provides an easy and smooth application, which is both blendable and buildable.  Available in a variety of colours to suit all looks.
Enriched with Camomile to help soothe and protect.” – £1.99

Another diamond, the shade range on these eyeshadows are pretty impressive and they are suprisingly pigmented. That being said they again have such a lovely finish are super easy to blend. I have the “Milk Chocolate” shade and it is beyond perfect for everyday.

Natural Collection Definition Mascara

Natural Collection“Our Definition Mascara has been created to define and separate lashes from corner to corner for a fanned out, clump free and wide-eyed effect.
Enriched with Camomile to help soothe and protect” – £2.49

Last but not least, this mascara is a game changer for me. I don’t tend to wear mascara on a daily basis (I have fairly sensitive eyes and tend to use mascara for occasions rather than every day). But, this gentle mascara has not irritated my eyes in the slightest. This doesn’t make your lashes look like falseys so if you’re more into full on drama or clumpy mascaras then this isn’t going to fit the brief. It looks so natural and just defines the eyes without it being obvious that it’s even there – which for me is perfect. Obviously I do like to go all out when it comes to special occasions, but for an every day makeup I am obsessed.

Natural Collection
(Left:Bronzer, Middle:Blush, Right:Eyeshadow)

Overall it is safe to say that I am beyond impressed with this whole collection. Had I known it was going to be quite this epic I would have picked up a lot more products when I was there! But I can now crack on and trust that the standard of these ridiculously cheap products is beautiful. I don’t know how they’ve done, and I don’t need to – I’m just glad they did!!

Revolution X Soph Full Collection Review & Swatches

Revolution X Soph

I’m not sure if its’ appropriate to be quite as excited as I was about this collection, but after I tried the first Revolution X Soph collaboration I could not wait to get my hands on the new products! When Soph announced on her YouTube channel that she had created more products with Revolution and that they were being released that day, I was literally a woman on a mission. And they are so ridiculously beautiful! So here they all are!!

Revolution X Soph Eyeshadow Palette

Makeup Revolution Soph XThis is just a stunning palette. Such an incredible range of shades, I have already done a full review of this palette (click here for Full Review) but shades that are worth bringing up again are Cuppa Tea, Peaches, Pumpkin and Pine Tree. And Petrol. Just all of them!

Revolution X Soph Highlighter Palette

Makeup Revolution Soph XIf you have watched Sophs’ YouTube vidoes you will know that a highlighter palette was a must, and she definitely didn’t hold back! Again I have already included this palette in another review (click here for Full Review). Literally every shade is gorgeous, and any shades that are too light/dark to use as highlighters for your skin tone work fabulously as eyeshadows too!

Makeup Revolution Soph X

Revolution X Soph Extra Spice Palette

OK, so now onto the new stuff. This palette is so freaking pretty! The shades are in some way bolder than the previous palette but are still so wearable.

Revolution X Soph Extra Spice

This paired with the tones of the first palette make the absolute dream team. The shade Cookie Dough is by far my favourite transition/crease shade I think I have ever used! Lakes is a stunning khaki tone and combined with the rose gold shimmer called Dreams these instantly grabbed my attention, but literally all of the colours are just beautiful.

Revolution X Soph Extra Spice

I love the reversed colour scheme used for the packaging, with the rose gold lid and pale pink writing (opposite to the first palette) and this one as with the first includes a full mirror. As always with Revolution eyeshadows the pigmentation is incredible, and at just £10.00 it really is too good to miss!

Revolution X Soph Lipsticks

Revolution X Soph Lipstick

Soph plus lipsticks just has to equal nude shades right? Exactly right. There are 3 shades to this collection and i am in love with every single one! The packaging is as cute as you could imagine, with the frosted pink bullet and rose gold lid. Also, these are £4.00! It’s madness!

Revolution X Soph Lipstick

Syrup is the lightest shade of the three and is a stunning pale nude with a brown undertone that looks so natural and elegant.

Cake is more of a rosey nude, and fortunately is my perfect “my lips but better” shade!

Fudge is the darkest shade and is a gorgeous rich brown nude.

Overall, I think it is safe to say I am obsessed with this collection. Even though I do have a fair amount of other palettes I genuinely think that for a beginner these palettes together are everything you would need to create SO many looks. Combining these eyeshadows with the popping highlight shades and beautiful nude lipsticks this collaboration is just absolutely genius! Congratulations Soph – you nailed it!!

Saaf Skincare Review

Saaf Skincare Review

Saaf Skincare Review

Saaf Skincare

Saaf Skincare is a brand that I came across through Nature’s Dream and was instantly drawn in by their beauty! The packaging alone is so stunning and looks so “spa like”. The products look so luxurious but are actually very affordable! Saaf Skincare are certified Cruelty Free, Organic and Vegetarian with the majority of products also being Vegan certified. Could it get any better!? Let’s find out and get pampering!!

Saaf Skincare

Saaf Skincare

“Saaf Pure Organic Skincare brings together the very best of naturally active and ethical ingredients to produce a wonderfully luxuriant skincare range that protects, heals and moisturises, to reveal naturally beautiful and radiant skin.

Active ingredients help to keep skin looking younger and more supple and, by not adding water to bulk and dilute the formulations, the Saaf range of serums, balms and oils remain at their most effective and pure. Organic Rosehip Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Beeswax, Safflower Seed Oil, Black Seed Oil, Geranium, Ylang Ylang, Lavender and Mandarin are just some of the ingredients found in Saaf’s products, all chosen for their skin and hair enhancing effects.”

Saaf Pure Face Cleanser & Exfoliating Cloth

“A luxuriously purifying, balancing and soothing face cleanser suitable for all types. Gently removes impurities and make-up whilst exfoliating, rejuvenating and moisturising the skin.”

Saaf Pure Face Cleanser

Saaf Skincare

This cleanser is simply beautiful. Just to look at it is so darn satisfying and makes me feel calm! But deeper than that, this cleanser is so gentle and moisturising that I wasn’t convinced it would be removing makeup – but fear not! It removed literally everything giving such a deep clean, but also left my skin feeling like it had already had a full on facial! The texture of this initially looks and feels like a wax, but it melts into the skin feeling more like a buttery balm. Combining this with the included Exfoliating Cloth is just a dream. I love a good face scrub, and using a cloth is so much cleaner, quicker, easier and feels SO nice on the skin! This gives a soft exfoliation that doesn’t feel sharp or gritty, it just leaves skin glowing! This whole set is £24.99 which I think is very affordable for both products – plus Saaf also sell the Exfoliating Cloths separately in packs of 2 for £4.99.

Saaf Pure Face Cleanser

Saaf Complexion Boosting Face Serum

Saaf Face Serum

“Decongest, balance & improve the tone of normal to oily/combination skin with this rich facial serum. Balance oily skin, clear breakouts, smooth away blemishes, and improve skin tone and texture.”

Saaf SkincareSo this is literally the product I have been waiting for. I love the idea of Face Serums but as my skin is ridiculously that of combination (it changes daily!) any serums I have tried in the past have either been too heavy, too oily, too greasy, too thin etc….. THIS however, is perfect. The consistency is literally bang in the middle – not thick but also not watery and runny. It feels so luxurious on the skin and actually soaks in. No grease! I use this before going to bed and in the morning my skin is so hydrated and plumped – I am completely in love! Luckily for me this product is also pretty affordable at £19.99 – but it will last for such a long time!

Saaf Face Serum

Saaf Eraser Body Oil

Saaf Eraser Body Oil

“Nature’s correction fluid in a bottle, this impressive toning and smoothing oil is a skin-saving formulation. Calm irritated and itchy skin, promote healthy skin renewal and keep skin supple and smooth.”

Saaf SkincareOK so this is where my life changed (well that sounds dramatic but it kind of is…). I can tend to be on the lazy side when it comes to moisturising my body – I absolutely love bubble baths and body scrubs, but once I’m out the bath I usually forget to follow it all up! Until now! Obviously I initially first used this to try it out when it arrived, and I’ve used it pretty much every day ever since. It feels like pure luxury on the skin and leaves it feeling like silk. It soaks in beautifully (again, no grease!) and completely evens out the skin tone giving the most gorgeous glow! While this is on the higher end of pricing at £24.99, this bottle is huge! As with the Face Serum a little goes a very long way so this will last for ages.

Saaf Eraser Body Oil

So overall, I think it is safe to say I am obsessed. The Saaf range as a whole is on the smaller side currently with 8 products – but I cannot wait to try more of their collection! All three of these products still wow me every time I use them (which is pretty much every day now!). Another point to mention is the scent of these products!! It is beyond amazing. I can’t really put it into words, but it smells like a “sweet spa” – as in spa like but not chemical or perfumed, and sweet but in a soft smokey way. (Safe to say I’m not the best at describing scents…) You just have to smell it to know what I mean!!

To top this all off, regardless of their sheer beauty in every way, Saaf Pure Skincare is one of the world’s most accredited skincare ranges.

  • Certified Cruelty Free by Cruelty Free International
  • Approved by The Vegetarian Society
  • Certified Organic by the UK Soil Association
  • Saaf’s Oils & Serums are proudly Vegan Society Registered
  • Saaf’s formulations are fully Halal compliant

Filthy Candles Review!

Filthy Candles Review!

Filthy Candles

Filthy Candles is an absolute gem that I came across on Instagram (you can check this out here!) and I am SO in love! Not only are Filthy Candles made from 100% Soybean Oil, natural, biodegradable, free from pesticides, Vegan friendly AND are Cruelty Free, but they are also just so freaking cute! There is a stunning vintage vibe to each and every candle – and you can tell they are made with such passion! So! I have 3 candles from the collection – lets get started!

Filthy Candles

“My main focus is turning old items into beautiful, Eco friendly soy wax candles.
As an absolute animal lover, these candles are cruelty free and vegan friendly as they are made from 100% soybean oil. My cheeky companion, Kevin Bacon likes to help with my candle making – she can be such a rascal for the scented ones! I have a lot of ideas, and almost all of my products are unique and one-of-a-kind so please watch this space for more as I’m still quite new to this and just getting started setting up my shop!”

Vintage Bone China Tea Cup Candle

This – regardless of anything else – is simply beautiful. An absolutely gorgeous set that is so stunning it could just be a display piece. That however would be a huge waste! This candle smells absolutely incredible before it is even lit! Such a gorgeous and understated floral scent that literally fills the room instantly. (£6.00 – £8.00)

Soy Wax Pot Candle infused with Lavender and Amyethyst

So this is an interesting one, not only is it in a super adorable plant pot (decorated with a bow no less…) but this opens a whole new door to crystals and their benefits. This amazing little plant pot contains a hidden amethyst stone within the wax – a powerful and protective stone that has many healing properties. “It guards against psychic attack, transmuting the energy into love and protects you from all types of harm.” Amethyst is a natural tranquilizer, it relieves stress and strain, soothes irritability, balances mood swings, dispels anger, rage, fear and anxiety.. the list goes on. On top of that (as if that isn’t enough!) it smells absolutely divine! (£6.00)

Soy Wax Vintage Tin Candle

As if these candles couldn’t get “unique” enough – this is just genius! I received the “Valda Pastilles” tin and it is so darn cute! (£6.00)

This candle also features wooden wicks – Filthy Candles description below:

Wooden wicks

“Valda Pastilles” genuine vintage tin, transformed into a beutiful, eco-friendly soy wax candle with two wooden wicks. When burning your wooden wick, you will hear that old familiar crackling sound of a campfire as the flame breaks apart the pieces of the wood that make up the candle wick. Even without any scent in the wax, your candle will give off a light wood-burning scent. These wicks are longer lasting; that can contribute many romantic nights of sitting around a faux fireplace. (please allow a few seconds to hover your flame over the wick for it to really catch)”

So! The incredible Filthy Candles has a stunning Etsy shop – full of unique and beautiful candles. (I know – I’ve use the word beautiful a lot but that is literally Filthy Candles in a nutshell!). Another thing I feel I just have to bring up is the packaging. While these candles are not boxed or individually packaged, the whole package (for delivery) included cards along with a ridiculous amount of real petals! The scent just from opening the box was amazing!

The care, passion and love that is clearly behind this whole brand is absolutely mesmerizing and I am so happy to be able to get behind it!

Maui Moisture Curl Quench Review

Maui Moisture Curl Quench

Maui Moisture is a brand I came across in Superdrug (I will admit it was the packaging that caught my attention!) and I instantly began researching their position on animal testing. As you can imagine, I was beyond excited when I found out that not only are they cruelty free, but they are vegan, gluten free, sulphate free, silicone free, everything free! As a curly girl (another note is that all of the ingredients seem to be CG Method approved if you are a follower of the Curly Girl Method!), I dove straight in and bought the Maui Moisture Curl Quench Collection and couldn’t wait to get started. So let’s go!

Maui Moisture Curl QuenchMaui Moisture Claims:
“Rich coconut oil is blended into this creamy gentle *collection along with papaya butter and plumeria extract. It helps detangle, defrizz and define your curls while enhancing softness and body for shiny, bouncy curls, coils or waves.”

So I will admit this was one of the first curl specific collections that I used in the beginning of my curly journey, before I properly knew how to manage my curls – so the finished results on my hair weren’t all that different to look at. What was instantly different however was how my hair felt. My hair loves to tangle so in the past I have had to use a ridiculous amount of conditioner or even constant hair masks to try and work through it. But literally straight away – and just with the shampoo – my hair felt nowhere near as tangled as it normally would, and following with the conditioner my fingers practically glided through my wet hair – this was impressive!

Maui Moisture Curl QuenchA little further down the line and I have tried different techniques on managing my curly hair, and I must say this magnificent duo still remains my go to combo on wash days. My hair is left so clean and soft, but not heavy or weighed down – and most importantly of all it feels moisturised and tangle free!

The scent of this collection is absolutely amazing. A mix of buttery scents and coconut, it is like a tropical haven! I have recently added the Maui Moisture Curl Quench Coconut Smoothie – and so far so good – very good. It takes this process to a whole new level and enhances the beautiful scent that lasts in the hair for days (unless your styling products are strongly scented in which case make sure they get along!).

The other thing I love about the Maui Moisture Curl Quench Collection is the price. Compared to other curl specific products this range is SO affordable! Both the shampoo and conditioner are priced at £8.99, and there are also regular offers and promotions to keep your eye out for. That being said, these bottles are pretty decently sized so depending on how often you wash your hair these should last a good while!

Overall, I really can’t find any negative points about this collection. The only thing that would improve it would be to add in a hair mask or some styling products, but as a wash day collection these will remain in my go to products for the foreseeable future! Just gorgeous!!

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer Review & Swatches

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define

I have finally got my hands on the hyped up Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer! These concealers were a pretty big launch from Makeup Revolution, and some are describing this as a dupe for the infamous Tarte Shape Tape Concealer (which is considerably more expensive!). So! Let’s dive in!

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define

Makeup Revolution Claims:
The concealer for everyone. 25 shades ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertones. Lightweight yet full coverage concealer to cover blemishes, even skin tone and counteract dark circles, with a matte finish that won’t settle or accentuate fine lines and pores. Long wearing intense pigment that can also be used to contour and add definition. Our large doe foot applicator allows for smooth application that won’t drag on the delicate skin under your eyes.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Swatches

Firstly, I think the shade range needs to be mentioned again…. 25 shades!? Absolutely incredible! I found my shades quite easily as I already have the Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation (Full Review Here) so that is a pretty accurate guide, but Makeup Revolution do have full shade descriptions :

C0 – pure white. For the fairest skin tones.
C0.5 – For fair skin tones with a pink undertone
C1 – For fair skin tones with neutral undertone
C2 – For fair skin tones with yellow undertone
C3 – For fair skin tones with neutral undertone
C4 – For light skin tones with pink undertone
C5 – For light skin tones with golden undertone
C6 – For light/medium skin tones with neutral undertone
C6.5 – For light/medium skin tones with a yellow undertone
C7 – For medium skin tones with peach undertone
C8 – For medium skin tones with a golden undertone
C8.5 – For medium skin tones with a yellow undertone
C9 – For medium skin tones with a peach undertone
C10 – For medium skin tones with a golden undertone

C12.5 – For medium/dark skin tones with a golden undertone
C13 – For dark skin tones with a warm undertone
C13.5 – For dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
C14 – For dark skin tones with a cool undertone
C15 – For dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
C16 – For dark skin tones with a warm undertone
C17 – For dark skin tones with a neutral undertone
C18 – For dark skin tones with a warm undertone

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define

So! Once you have found your shades the fun really begins! The first amazing thing about these beauties is the packaging. Slightly “fatter” than typical concealer packaging but I love it! Plus this allows for the mega doe foot applicator which is honestly epic (and for some reason ridiculously satisfying to look at….). This combined with the rose gold detailing I think the packaging in general is pretty perfect.

I have the shades C0, C2 & C6. While it may seem like quite a jump between C2 & C6 these are actually my perfect shades depending on whether I have fake tanned or not! And as with their foundation stick I just mix them together when I am somewhere in the middle. I also picked up the white mixer just in case and this is SO stunning! I tend to like my concealer to look as natural as possible on a day to day basis, but when I am doing more of a full face of makeup mixing C0 with C2 lightens everything up to cover and highlight under the eyes.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Swatches
(Left to Right) C0, C2, C6

Of course it doesn’t really matter what the packaging is like (or shouldn’t anyway..) and it comes down to the actual product. Thankfully, this concealer is genuinely beautiful. The application is a dream (again, super satisfying using the giant doe foot!) and the consistency is so creamy. As far as coverage goes for me it is bang on. It is fairly full coverage, but doesn’t completely blank everything out. It blends out beautifully – I just use my finger – and doesn’t crease or break up throughout the day. If you are looking for a concealer that literally covers everything then this layers up brilliantly. I wouldn’t necessarily go with more than 2 layers of this as it may start to look a bit cakey, but it is really easy to build up. It does dry down fairly quickly so bare that in mind too.

Overall, I am obsessed. At £4.00 – yes, £4.00, the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer is absolutely genius. It is so easy to customize the coverage of this and the shades match perfectly. Even when building up the coverage it still looks natural! It really is just fabulous – more please!!!!

Jasmine Rebecca “Butterfly Kisses” Candle Review

Jasmine Rebecca Butterfly Kisses

I came across Jasmine Rebecca on a recent holiday, and was instantly intrigued. She has a gorgeous shop in Polperro, and paired with the cobbled streets and beautiful surroundings it is so heavenly! Of course I had to have a nose, and obviously when I saw that everything is Cruelty Free (and Vegan) and also made using recycled glass –  I couldn’t resist picking myself up a candle to try out! So lets get into it!!

Jasmine Rebecca Butterfly Kisses

Butterfly Kisses – Wisteria, Orange Blossom & White Tea.
“The sweetest of all my candle collection, this is for those with a sweet tooth and penchant for chasing butterflies, and/or kisses 🙂 Playful, warm, sweet as a custard cream biscuit and a cup of tea!”

While I do typically look for candles with sweet scents, the smell of this candle is beyond words! I wouldn’t know quite how to describe it so I’m glad Jasmine has! Custard Cream is definitely a good description! It gives off a stunning subtle sweet scent even when not lit, but when lit the magic really happens.

Jasmine Rebecca Butterfly Kisses

This candle does come in 2 sizes, and had I realised just how much I would love it I would have bought the bigger one! The smaller size is £5.25 and the larger size is £10.00.

Obviously these are sold in her shop, but if you are not in the area or able to make the journey down south (although it is definitely worth a visit!) then fear not! This candle and the other scents are sold on her website, along with other scents, gifts and beautiful art.

A gorgeous shop that makes absolutely perfect gifts – even if you are just gifting yourself!

You can genuinely feel the quality of this lip balm, and it gave my lips moisture and softness that lasts. The consistency is more of a waxy balm than the traditional twist up sticks, and I love it. The jar is the perfect size for popping into a handbag, and at £3.50 for the amount of product and how long this will last it is so affordable!

Both of these moisturisers are just beautiful. I love “general” moisturisers that are not for specific areas, just for wherever needs a little TLC! I am tending to use these in my night time skin care routine, and I am loving the results. My skin feels so soft – and actually youthful – which is always a winner! The scent of these are what I love probably a little bit too much… The Rosehip 100% reminds me of a spa, and the Lavender & Honey is such a relaxing scent – they both smell so luxurious I feel pampered before I’ve even used them! These are £5.95 each, but at the time they had a promotion in store of 2 for £10.00.

I love jars as packaging, not only are they recyclable but I tend to reuse them for other things – they make great candles if you’re into making your own!

So on top of the Eden Projects already incredible and inspiring approach, they are taking the same approach into beauty products – and beautiful ones at that!

INIKA Liquid Foundation

When it comes to Cruelty Free Foundations I have previously been a little set in my ways and haven’t branched out to try new products – until now! And starting with the INIKA Certified Organic Liquid Foundation, I love the finish am so relieved that this is a success! A beautiful foundation, it is right up my street!

INIKA Claims:

INIKA Certified Organic Liquid Foundation combines natural antioxidants, minerals and Certified Organic ingredients to hydrate and illuminate the skin.

INIKA Liquid Foundation - Swatches

INIKA’s description of their Liquid Foundation is short and sweet, but nicely rounds up what this foundation is all about. The finish is absolutely stunning, somewhere between matte and glowy – this gives the perfect balance of illuminating the skin without getting oily.

I would say this foundation has a medium coverage, but is so buildable. It looks SO natural and lasts amazingly well, and at the end of the day it wears down so naturally – no patchiness or separating in sight! Just perfect!! The consistency is fabulous as for me it is bang in the middle – not too runny to slide all over the place, but not too thick either keeping the natural finish. It gives the coverage without the cake!

INIKA Liquid Foundation - NudeThere are 8 shades in this foundation, all of which will suit any skin tone perfectly. While this isn’t a huge range of shades, the undertones in them are perfect. I have the shade “Nude”, and while there is a small amount of oxidisation, this was actually a great thing as the shade works beautifully with my pale yellow-toned skin. They have pretty detailed shade descriptions on the website so it is super easy to match yourself up!

INIKA Liquid Foundation

This packaging is so chic! It is almost a frosted matte black and the gold detailing gives an extra edge of class. The pump applicator makes it so easy to use and avoids any mess or product wastage. I use one good pump and this covers my entire face. At £33.00, it isn’t the cheapest foundation I have tried, but in my opinion is definitely worth the extra pennies – plus MeiKind have kindly given me a site wide 10% discount code for you below!

Due to its consistency a little goes a long way, and even though this a new foundation for me I already know I can depend on this when I need my skin to look good and last! The INIKA Liquid Foundation is a beautiful product from a beautiful brand – and going on the quality of this foundation I can’t wait to try out some more products from their collection!
