ZAO Silk Foundation Review and Swatches

ZAO Silk Foundation

OK, so while the packaging of a foundation shouldn’t really be important, the ZAO Silk Foundation just looks incredible! However, packagine does not reflect the quality of a product – so let’s jump in and see if this really is as good as it looks! ZAO products are free from Parabens and Toxic Preservatives, and – obviously – Cruelty Free!

ZAO Silk Foundation

ZAO Claims:
The light texture of ZAO Silk Foundation applies easily and meets the needs of those who like a luminous complexion with full coverage and a natural finish. Besides organic silica contained in bamboo hydrosol, organic sweet almond oil, jojoba and shea butter give this foundation a nourishing effect. It has a mattifying finish and uniform coverage for a long lasting coverage throughout the day.

ZAO Silk Foundation

The first thing that strikes me with this foundation (other than the gorgeous packaging of course!) is the beautiful texture that I can only describe as “silky”. It almost feels like a moisturiser, it is SO light and creamy. I find applying this with a damp sponge gives the most flawless finish, although it does blend beautifully with a brush too. This foundation is described as “strong coverage”, and it really is incredible how something so light can do so much! Definitely a full coverage foundation, but it doesn’t look cakey!

ZAO Silk Foundation SwatchesI would say there is a demi-matte finish to this foundation that keeps it looking completely natural. The shade range is fairly decent with 9 shades – I have the shade “Light Sand” which is absolutely perfect for my yellow-toned pale skin. I must say though, even if you aren’t sure on your exact shade match this product is so blendable that it would be so easy to make it work regardless!

ZAO Silk Foundation Swatches

In regards to the packaging I have probably said enough, but just in case…. This is frosted glass with a pump applicator – and the bamboo lid!? Just amazing. While the glass is probably not the most travel friendly, it feels and looks absolutely stunning on display and really doesn’t seem that heavy! Mine also came in a cute little case too!

ZAO Silk Foundation

Price wise the ZAO Silk Foundation is at the higher end of what I would normally be willing to spend on a foundation – £34.95. While I wouldn’t usually use a more expensive foundation on an every day basis and would probably save it for special occasions, a little goes a very long way with this – one pump is enough to cover my entire face – so this will last for SUCH a long time even using every day! (Plus I do have a discount code below!)

With such an incredible finish and with so little product needed, the ZAO Silk Foundation really is an absolute joy! In my opinion this is definitely worth spending some extra pennies on, I see it as more of an investment! Beautiful packaging for a beautiful product!

Maui Moisture Curl Quench Review

Maui Moisture Curl Quench Review

Maui Moisture Curl Quench

Maui Moisture is a brand I came across in Superdrug (I will admit it was the packaging that caught my attention!) and I instantly began researching their position on animal testing. As you can imagine, I was beyond excited when I found out that not only are they cruelty free, but they are vegan, gluten free, sulphate free, silicone free, everything free! As a curly girl (another note is that all of the ingredients seem to be CG Method approved if you are a follower of the Curly Girl Method!), I dove straight in and bought the Maui Moisture Curl Quench Collection and couldn’t wait to get started. So let’s go!

Maui Moisture Curl QuenchMaui Moisture Claims:
“Rich coconut oil is blended into this creamy gentle *collection along with papaya butter and plumeria extract. It helps detangle, defrizz and define your curls while enhancing softness and body for shiny, bouncy curls, coils or waves.”

So I will admit this was one of the first curl specific collections that I used in the beginning of my curly journey, before I properly knew how to manage my curls – so the finished results on my hair weren’t all that different to look at. What was instantly different however was how my hair felt. My hair loves to tangle so in the past I have had to use a ridiculous amount of conditioner or even constant hair masks to try and work through it. But literally straight away – and just with the shampoo – my hair felt nowhere near as tangled as it normally would, and following with the conditioner my fingers practically glided through my wet hair – this was impressive!

Maui Moisture Curl QuenchA little further down the line and I have tried different techniques on managing my curly hair, and I must say this magnificent duo still remains my go to combo on wash days. My hair is left so clean and soft, but not heavy or weighed down – and most importantly of all it feels moisturised and tangle free!

The scent of this collection is absolutely amazing. A mix of buttery scents and coconut, it is like a tropical haven! I have recently added the Maui Moisture Curl Quench Coconut Smoothie – and so far so good – very good. It takes this process to a whole new level and enhances the beautiful scent that lasts in the hair for days (unless your styling products are strongly scented in which case make sure they get along!).

The other thing I love about the Maui Moisture Curl Quench Collection is the price. Compared to other curl specific products this range is SO affordable! Both the shampoo and conditioner are priced at £8.99, and there are also regular offers and promotions to keep your eye out for. That being said, these bottles are pretty decently sized so depending on how often you wash your hair these should last a good while!

Overall, I really can’t find any negative points about this collection. The only thing that would improve it would be to add in a hair mask or some styling products, but as a wash day collection these will remain in my go to products for the foreseeable future! Just gorgeous!!

Jasmine Rebecca “Butterfly Kisses” Candle Review

Jasmine Rebecca Butterfly Kisses

I came across Jasmine Rebecca on a recent holiday, and was instantly intrigued. She has a gorgeous shop in Polperro, and paired with the cobbled streets and beautiful surroundings it is so heavenly! Of course I had to have a nose, and obviously when I saw that everything is Cruelty Free (and Vegan) and also made using recycled glass –  I couldn’t resist picking myself up a candle to try out! So lets get into it!!

Jasmine Rebecca Butterfly Kisses

Butterfly Kisses – Wisteria, Orange Blossom & White Tea.
“The sweetest of all my candle collection, this is for those with a sweet tooth and penchant for chasing butterflies, and/or kisses 🙂 Playful, warm, sweet as a custard cream biscuit and a cup of tea!”

While I do typically look for candles with sweet scents, the smell of this candle is beyond words! I wouldn’t know quite how to describe it so I’m glad Jasmine has! Custard Cream is definitely a good description! It gives off a stunning subtle sweet scent even when not lit, but when lit the magic really happens.

Jasmine Rebecca Butterfly Kisses

This candle does come in 2 sizes, and had I realised just how much I would love it I would have bought the bigger one! The smaller size is £5.25 and the larger size is £10.00.

Obviously these are sold in her shop, but if you are not in the area or able to make the journey down south (although it is definitely worth a visit!) then fear not! This candle and the other scents are sold on her website, along with other scents, gifts and beautiful art.

A gorgeous shop that makes absolutely perfect gifts – even if you are just gifting yourself!

BWC Ultimate Natural Liquid Foundation Review & Swatches

BWC Natural Liquid Foundation

BWC (Beauty Without Cruelty) is a stunning Cruelty Free Makeup brand that is fairly new to my collection. The first product I am trying from them is the BWC Ultimate Natural Liquid Foundation, and we are off to a very good start!

BWC Natural Liquid Foundation

BWC Claims:
Ultimate Natural Liquid Foundation fortifies skin with a list of nourishing ingredients including Pentavitin for lasting deep hydration even under the driest conditions, jojoba and vitamin E to maintain the skin’s elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Rice bran wax also creates a smother application and finish. Build-able coverage allows you to customize your look from light to full coverage.

So skincare AND a foundation!? Double winner! BWC’s description is pretty spot on actually, this foundation is super hydrating – but not greasy or oily at all! I typically have combination skin which does tend to get a bit shiny throughout the day – but this lasts well!

BWC Natural Liquid FoundationThe coverage of this foundation is definitely a plus, it is so easy to build up to the coverage you would like without it looking cakey! When first pumping out the foundation it does appear to be quite thick (alarm bells went off in my head….) but this is so deceiving. As soon as I began blending into the skin it just melts into a beautiful “fluid” with a satin matte finish. There is a slight scent to it, I can’t quite put my finger on what it is – just a “clean” scent – but it is SO subtle that you’d have to be literally sniffing my face to even detect it.

BWC Natural Liquid FoundationThe shade range for this foundation is on the smaller side, but the undertones of all 5 shades are beautiful and seem to just blend in with the skin tone. I have the shade Light, and while this does already have a yellow base my skins undertone is actually even more yellow (not like a Simpson I promise..). That being said, I can still wear this foundation so easily without having to intermix other products in to make it match – it just blends and works!

Price wise this is pretty affordable on the scale of Cruelty Free foundations, coming in at £12.50 – although I do have a site wide discount code at the end of this post!

Overall, this is a great every day foundation – or even every night! The build-able formula is just genius and you can choose your desired coverage! As an introduction to the brand, the BWC Ultimate Natural Liquid Foundation has won me over, and I can’t wait to try more of their collection!

Eden Project – Beauty Review!

Eden Project – Beauty Review!

Eden Project – Beauty Review!

Eden Project Beauty

On a recent trip to the Eden Project, the last things I expected to come across were beauty products! Not just any beauty products, but Cruelty Free, Natural and Handmade beauty products – I know right!? It put the cherry on the top of a fabulous day there, and I couldn’t wait to get stuck in!

“Our bath and body products are packed full of natural essential oils and real ingredients that you’d find in your own kitchen cupboard. With packaging designed by our in-house artists here at Eden, they make the perfect eco friendly gift.”

Rosehip Moisturiser

Eden Project Moisturiser

“Our rose hip moisturiser contains high levels of vitamin A, C & F which is helpful for cell and skin regeneration. Made with essential oils and 100% pure ingredients this rose hip moisturiser feels rich and beautiful on your skin. Rosehips have one of the highest vitamin C content of plant sources along with lycopene which is also the most efficient oxygen and free radical quencher!”

Lavender & Honey Moisturiser

Eden Project Moisturiser

“Lavender & honey moisturiser good for revitalising dry or damaged skin. A classic blend of soothing lavender and healing Cornish honey combined with anti-ageing evening primrose, nourishing wheat germ oil and Vitamin E. Our moisturiser is gentle, antibacterial and perfect for calming and restoring the skin.”

Calendula & Beeswax Lip Balm

Eden Project Lip Balm

“Calendula is a popular skin healing herb and known for its gentleness. Calendula’s healing qualities can be beneficial for slow healing wounds, burns, eczema & inflammations on the skin.”

Eden Project Lip BalmAs a lover of lip balms, I couldn’t wait to try this. And wow – my lips are literally loving life. You can genuinely feel the quality of this lip balm, and it gave my lips moisture and softness that lasts. The consistency is more of a waxy balm than the traditional twist up sticks, and I love it. The jar is the perfect size for popping into a handbag, and at £3.50 for the amount of product and how long this will last it is so affordable!

Both of these moisturisers are just beautiful. I love “general” moisturisers that are not for specific areas, just for wherever needs a little TLC! I am tending to use these in my night time skin care routine, and I am loving the results. My skin feels so soft – and actually youthful – which is always a winner! The scent of these are what I love probably a little bit too much… The Rosehip 100% reminds me of a spa, and the Lavender & Honey is such a relaxing scent – they both smell so luxurious I feel pampered before I’ve even used them! These are £5.95 each, but at the time they had a promotion in store of 2 for £10.00.

I love jars as packaging, not only are they recyclable but I tend to reuse them for other things – they make great candles if you’re into making your own!

So on top of the Eden Projects already incredible and inspiring approach, they are taking the same approach into beauty products – and beautiful ones at that!

– The Perfect Body In A Bottle!?

E'Lifexir Natural Beauty

The E’Lifexir Natural Beauty Collection is definitely different to anything I have tried before – each product is individually designed to target specific areas of the body – so basically the perfect body in bottles!? Whether you want to go all in or just target something specific, there is a product for everything. There are 7 products in this range, meaning this is going to be lengthy post, so grab a cuppa and let’s dive in!

E'Lifexir Natural Beauty

“Welcome to the next generation of natural body care products – an ECOCERT Natural Cosmetic certified, VEGAN body care range with seven products each targeting specific parts of the body.

e’lifexir Natural Beauty is a new body treatment range created from natural and organic plant and fruit extracts.

Made with more than 99 per cent natural ingredients, all e’lifexir products have been dermatologically tested, are suitable for all skin types, and are hypoallergenic.

e’lifexir products contain NO parabens, acrylates, colourants, petrolatum, mineral oils, paraffin, silicones, PEGs, sulphates or artificial fragrances.”

While this statement doesn’t cover the fact that this brand is Cruelty Free – it is. To give these a go I went all in and used everything! So here’s a run down on each product, and my first impressions.

ACTIDREN Revitalising Leg Gel

E'Lifexir Natural Beauty“Black elder extract helps improve microcirculation and decongestion of the skin tissue to relieve tired and ‘heavy’ legs.
Rutin (a citrus flavonoid found in a wide variety of plants and fruits) and olive oil prevent and reduce the appearance of redness. Also contains natural cherry, cranberry and grape water, rich in antioxidants, which protect the skin from free radicals. Acticire (a natural, multifunctional active texture agent based on jojoba, mimosa, and sunflower waxes) ensures legs feel comfortable, relaxed and moisturised all day long.”

I LOVED this. As someone who is on my feet all day, I found this to be so soothing and had a “cooling” sensation that definitely made my legs feel lighter. The scent reminds me of floral herbs (if that’s a thing), and a bonus is that this is ultra moisturising – definitely one of my favourites.

ANTI-STRETCH MARKS Repairing and Preventing Cream

E'Lifexir Natural Beauty“Centella Asiatica leaf extract helps to increase the firmness and elasticity of the skin.
Scotch thistle extract helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks through a dual action, increasing both the elasticity and moisture levels of the skin, which stimulates the regeneration process. Natural cherry, orange and grape water, rich in antioxidants, improve the well-being of the skin’s protective barrier.”

This one was really difficult to pin down actually – in a good way. The scent was like floral veg – another strange description I know… it smelt so good! Another really moisturising product, and actually left my skin feel super toned and had a slight numbing effect when first applying.

BODYLIFT Anti-Cellulite and Lifting Cream

E'Lifexir Natural Beauty“Sundews leaf, a carnivorous plant, helps to smooth the skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Dragon eye extract protects the skin tissues through its antioxidant action and improves skin texture. Black elder extract helps improve microcirculation and decongestion of the skin tissue while cherry, cranberry and orange water help protect the skin.”

This one was a little thicker in consistency than the others, and I seriously liked it! It has a subtle cucumber scent, and I could definitely feel it tightening my thighs and generally making them appear less “wobbly”! Another of my favourites!

FITNESS Body Contouring Gel

E'Lifexir Natural Beauty“Caffeine helps tighten the skin for a more sculpted looking figure.
Dragon eye extract protects the skin tissue and reduces fatty deposits. Black elder extract helps improve microcirculation and decongestion of the skin tissue while lemon, cranberry and orange water, full of vitamin C, boost the production of collagen, leaving skin smooth and glowing.”

As I was starting to run out of body parts by this point, I actually convinced my boyfriend to try this one out. It again has a floral herb type scent, and along with being super soft it did seem to tighten the skin. This recommends applying before working out to see this products’ full potential.

FLAT TUMMY Reducing and Firming Cream

E'Lifexir Natural Beauty“Caffeine helps tighten the skin for a more sculpted looking waistline.
Centella Asiatica leaf extract helps to increase the firmness and elasticity of the skin. Lemon, cherry and orange water, full of vitamin C, protect and soften the skin while olive oil helps reduce the signs of ageing thanks to its restructuring properties.”

This one grew on me. The scent started off “herby” but when applying actually ended up smelling quite fruity! It left my skin super soft and moisturised. I am quite fortunate that my tummy isn’t really my main concern (100% pear shaped over here!) so I did tend to concentrate more on the other products, but this one was definitely lovely if your tummy is you area of concern!

PUSH-UP BREAST Toning and Firming Cream

E'Lifexir Natural Beauty“Oleoresin, extracted from guggul, an Indian tree, has a re-densifying action which adds volume to the skin.
Scotch thistle extract helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks through a dual action, increasing both the elasticity and moisture levels of the skin, which stimulates the regeneration process. Natural cherry, orange and grape water, rich in antioxidants, together with centella asiatica leaf extract, improve the skin’s firmness and tone.”

So while I am not particularly blessed in the breast area, I really liked this! So moisturising and left the skin ridiculously soft and supple (feels cringy saying that…). I also used this on my chest and neck and have a feeling it will be really good for slowing down signs of aging there too! Scent wise we still have that floral veg smell, another one of my favourites!

PUSH-UP BUTTOCKS Sculpting Gel

E'Lifexir Natural Beauty“Mate and stevia leaf extract help to redefine the look of buttock contours by smoothing the skin.
Scotch thistle helps to improve cell renewal and protects collagen, preventing and reducing the appearance of stretch marks. Black elder extract helps improve microcirculation and decongestion of the skin tissue, while cherry, cranberry and orange water provide antioxidants and protective benefits to the skin.”

So here’s the biggy – literally. This was the product I was hoping would come through – and it did! Similar to the BODYLIFT Cream, this had a tightening effect that definitely made everything alot less wobbly! A subtle gorgeous fruity scent, I loved this!

So there we have it! Whether these will literally give you a supermodel body it is too early for me to tell… But so far I am very impressed. As mentioned, my favourties are the Bodylift Cream, Actidern Leg Gel, Push-Up Breast Cream and Push-Up Buttocks Gel. All of these are priced at £15.99, and the packaging is so colourful but also so sleek!

So whether you are looking to improve the appearance of an area or two, or just want to go to town the E’Lifexir Natural Beauty products are just fabulous! I can’t wait to keep using these, so watch this space!!!

Lottie London Blush Crush

Lottie London Blush Crush is among the cutest blushers I think I have seen! I started with one of these, and now have three. They are just so darn adorable! There is an amazing colour range and they are so affordable. Named after male celebrities, these addictive blushers are so satisfying in so many ways!

Lottie London Blush Crush

Lottie London Claims:
A collection of easily blendable powder blushes, inspired by your favourite celeb crushes! Achieve perfectly pinched cheeks worthy of any selfie queen. Available in 6 beautiful and long-lasting shades to intensify your rosy glow. Simply swirl and pop onto cheekbones!

The most difficult part of this collection is deciding between your favourite shade or your favourite person, but either way I am hooked! I have the shades “Justin”, “Nick” and “Harry” (although I chose these for the shades and not the person they represent…. definitely… I think…).

Lottie London Justin

Lottie London Justin“Justin” is a gorgeous soft blush in the perfect rose shade. Totally matte, this is the most natural looking blush out of the three.

Lottie London NickLottie London Nick“Nick” is definitely pink! It is the brightest blush of these and has a shimmer finish (a subtle shimmer though, more glowy than glitter).

Lottie London HarryLottie London Harry“Harry” is a gorgeous deep red toned blush. Something like this would normally be out of my comfort zone, but the shade is muted and more on the natural side – probably now my favourite!

Lottie London Blush Crush

Lottie London Blush Crush

The pigmentation of these is superb. They are not over the top (so there isn’t the risk of looking like a clown…) but they are pigmented enough to build up and they blend like a dream. They are powder (obviously) but have an almost creamy feel to them which is probably what makes them look so natural and flawless. No chalkiness in sight!

Packaging wise we have established that they are beyond cute – but they are genuinely bang on. The size is perfect to travel around (and there is a mirror!), and the amount of product included is in my opinion very generous! These are priced at £4.95, which makes me rather happy! Super affordable and a shade for every skin tone and occasion! The Blush Crush Powder Blushes are simply genius – and if you can’t pick your favourite (like me) then just get the lot – after all it would be rude to leave anyone out right!?

Cruelty Free VS Vegan

Cruelty Free VS Vegan

Cruelty Free VS Vegan – What’s the difference?

When I first decided to make the transition to become Cruelty Free, I genuinely assumed if a brand was certified as Vegan then that would mean it does not involve animals – at all, right? Wrong. Bizarrely, just because a brand is certified as Vegan does not mean that its’ products are not tested on animals. Crazy! To me that defeats the whole idea of being Vegan in the first place if the products then go on to be tested on animals! And on the other side there are brands that while they claim to be Cruelty Free also sell their products in China or only state that their products are not tested on animals… but do not mention their ingredients or third party involvement.

So! What is the difference and how can we be sure?

It is not always clear what is Cruelty Free or Vegan, so here is a rough guideline on what these actually mean:

Cruelty FreeCruelty Free

– products are not tested on animals – at all. Not just the finished products, but the ingredients or any third party involvement. Also, if a brand sells its’ products in a country where animal testing is required by law (such as China) then the brand as a whole is not Cruelty Free.

VeganVegan

– products are 100% free of any animal ingredients or ingredients that are derived from animals. These brands will find alternatives instead, such a Glycerine. However, a brand that is Vegan Certified is not neccesarily Cruelty Free.

Basically, they are completely different concepts. Brands that are Cruelty Free are not necessarily Vegan, and vise versa. On the whole, brands tend to be pretty proud if they have received certification for being either of these and will display their certified logo on their website and products. Not always though, so I tend to look in their “about” pages and they will usually clarify their status there. If I find I am having to hunt a little too hard to find some sort of clarification, then I start to become suspicious and doubtful. There is also the Parent Company situation for some brands, but that is a whole issue in itself that is down to personal opinion – I have a full discussion post on this – Where To Draw The Line?

Cruelty Free

The main and ultimate mission of Belles’ Bunnies is to highlight cosmetic animal testing and create awareness of just how many brands are still testing on animals. The Cruelty Free Brand List on Belles’ Bunnies is constantly updated, which hopefully makes the whole process of shopping a lot easier! Overall, an official certification such as Leaping Bunny or PETA is a clear way to ensure a brand is Cruelty Free, and in my experience brands that are genuinely Cruelty Free are proud and display this for all to see!

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Shea Moisture

Shea Moisture has become one of my all time favourite hair care brands. The packaging is always stunning and the products really are beautiful. As I have mentioned before I previously owned a Hair & Beauty Salon, and even comparing Shea Moistures’ products to higher end “professional” products the results are incredible. As a curly girl, the Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine collection caught my attention straight away!

Shea Moisture Claims:

Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Shampoo
Cleanse dry, delicate curls with this gentle Sulphate-free shampoo. Formulated with fast absorbing, nutrient-rich Coconut Oil and certified organic Shea Butter to leave curls vibrant, bouncy and healthy looking.

Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Conditioner
This lightweight, daily conditioner restores moisture and smoothes dry hair cuticles. No more knots, snarls and tangles. Tames frizz as it defines and enhances natural curls.

Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus

Shea Moisture Coconut & HibiscusThe Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus collection were the first “curly hair specific” products I tried when I started my curly hair journey, and they are still very much in my staple hair care items. The shampoo is literally delicious, and doesn’t tangle up my hair as a lot of shampoos normally would (it is usually a matted mess until I soak it in conditioner!). The conditioner is actually a little too lightweight for me personally, however that being said it is perfect for detangling and doesn’t weigh the hair down at all. I slather this all over and can be confident that it won’t make my hair flat or greasy – and then just use something a little thicker and more concentrated on my ends if needed.

Shea Moisture Coconut & HibiscusThe scent of this collection is heavenly! Like a Shea & Coconut cocktail, it smells incredible and the scent lasts for days! And as for the packaging, Shea Moistures packaging has a standard theme with each collection colour coded. I absolutely love their packaging, and the pump on the conditioner helps to prevent any wastage.

Price wise these are so affordable, both cost £9.99! Plus there is often some sort of sale and they are regularly in 3 for 2 offers! I also use the Shea Moisture Coconut Curl Enhancing Smoothie which has become one of my ride or die products! Overall this collection is nurturing and moisturising but light enough not weigh curls down. And the gorgeous scent is the cherry on the top! Beautiful!!

No7 Skin Illuminator

No7No7 has such a wide range of products it can sometimes be difficult to know where to start! I came across the No7 Skin Illuminator when I was actually looking for a glowy BB cream. And while this doesn’t provide coverage, it does give such a beautiful glowy sheen to the skin and I have fallen in love with it!

No7 Skin IlluminatorNo7 Claims:
Multi-faceted light reflectors instantly enhance your complexion, for a natural looking radiance.

And that’s it. It literally does what it says on the tin (or tube in this case). I think that what I love so much about this is just how natural it is. If you’re looking for a blinding highlight then this probably isn’t the product for you, but it gives a radiant glowy finish to the skin that is so addictive! I use it under a BB cream, as I think putting a full coverage foundation over the top would just cover up the gorgeous finish of this and would be a bit pointless! As I mentioned earlier this product doesn’t provide any coverage, but it makes skin look so healthy I end up trying to cover up as little as possible! A thin layer over the top of a moisturiser on “no makeup” days is spot on.

No7 Skin Illuminator

The No7 Skin Illuminator comes in 2 shades. I have the shade Nude and it is absolutely perfect. They also have a Bronze shade which I am desperate to try out as I think it will be beautiful for Summer.

The packaging is great, and I love the simple design of No7 products – keeping it looking classic and elegant. The 30ml tube will last ages, as a pea sized amount (a small pea – think “petit-pois”) literally covers the whole face. Priced at £12.50 this can seem on the expensive side compared to other brands with primer style products, but the No7 Skin Illuminator is completely different to any product I have used.

So even though my first encounter with this product was on a search for something different, I am SO glad I found it! A wonderful happy accident – some things are just meant to be!
