Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define

I have finally got my hands on the hyped up Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer! These concealers were a pretty big launch from Makeup Revolution, and some are describing this as a dupe for the infamous Tarte Shape Tape Concealer (which is considerably more expensive!). So! Let’s dive in!

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define

Makeup Revolution Claims:
The concealer for everyone. 25 shades ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertones. Lightweight yet full coverage concealer to cover blemishes, even skin tone and counteract dark circles, with a matte finish that won’t settle or accentuate fine lines and pores. Long wearing intense pigment that can also be used to contour and add definition. Our large doe foot applicator allows for smooth application that won’t drag on the delicate skin under your eyes.

Firstly, I think the shade range needs to be mentioned again…. 25 shades!? Absolutely incredible! I found my shades quite easily as I already have the Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation (Full Review Here) so that is a pretty accurate guide, but Makeup Revolution do have full shade descriptions :

So! Once you have found your shades the fun really begins! The first amazing thing about these beauties is the packaging. Slightly “fatter” than typical concealer packaging but I love it! Plus this allows for the mega doe foot applicator which is honestly epic (and for some reason ridiculously satisfying to look at….). This combined with the rose gold detailing I think the packaging in general is pretty perfect.

I have the shades C0, C2 & C6. While it may seem like quite a jump between C2 & C6 these are actually my perfect shades depending on whether I have fake tanned or not! And as with their foundation stick I just mix them together when I am somewhere in the middle. I also picked up the white mixer just in case and this is SO stunning! I tend to like my concealer to look as natural as possible on a day to day basis, but when I am doing more of a full face of makeup mixing C0 with C2 lightens everything up to cover and highlight under the eyes.

Of course it doesn’t really matter what the packaging is like (or shouldn’t anyway..) and it comes down to the actual product. Thankfully, this concealer is genuinely beautiful. The application is a dream (again, super satisfying using the giant doe foot!) and the consistency is so creamy. As far as coverage goes for me it is bang on. It is fairly full coverage, but doesn’t completely blank everything out. It blends out beautifully – I just use my finger – and doesn’t crease or break up throughout the day. If you are looking for a concealer that literally covers everything then this layers up brilliantly. I wouldn’t necessarily go with more than 2 layers of this as it may start to look a bit cakey, but it is really easy to build up. It does dry down fairly quickly so bare that in mind too.

Overall, I am obsessed. At £4.00 – yes, £4.00, the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer is absolutely genius. It is so easy to customize the coverage of this and the shades match perfectly. Even when building up the coverage it still looks natural! It really is just fabulous – more please!!!!

So I may be a little later than most to jump on this wagon, but in my defense they were out of stock so darn often! And I can see why. The Makeup Revolution Soph X collaboration produced 2 palettes – an Eyeshadow Palette and a Highlighter Palette, and they – are – epic!

“The 24 versatile shades give you everything you need to create your look no matter what time of year, whether you’re looking for light shimmers, warm browns, rich golds, rusty oranges, dark smokey shades or even a pop of colour – this palette is for you! – Soph x”

My gosh the girl did good! The selection of shades in this palette are amazing and right up my street! There are 14 matte shades and 10 shimmers, perfect for literally any eye look you can think of! The infamous “Cuppa Tea” is literally just life. It is the most flattering shade that will suit any skin tone, and sits perfectly with all the other shades in this palette. As a lover of olive toned shadows, “Pine Tree” & “Petrol” are also among my top favourites in this palette. And while there are some shades that I wouldn’t usually go for, they sit next to such complementing shades in the palette that it is so inspiring just to look at!

“With 8 different shades, you can pick your favorites or mix and match colours to create the perfect glow for your skin tone. You know what they say… you can NEVER have enough higligter! – Soph x”

While I don’t 100% agree with Soph’s statement (I do think that there is a line when enough highlighter is enough – or at least there should be in some cases!) I do completely adore her highlighting palette! The various shades she has put into this palette are so dreamy! There are such different tones to these highlighters, and there are 5 baked and 3 pressed depending on the desired finish. Being a fan of all things bronze my favourites have to be those on the right hand side (there are no shade names) and even though I think these were designed with darker skin tones in mind (as I have mentioned before I am on the paler side..) I absolutely love the subtle bronze and gold sheen that these highlighters give. Those along with the brighter highlighters makes this palette an absolute go to!

So overall, these palettes are basically just awesome. The shades are so beautifully selected, and as with all Makeup Revolution palettes the pigmentation is amazing. The packaging is absolutely stunning, and I love the nude and gold theme that Soph has used. Price wise again for Makeup Revolution these palettes are super affordable, with the Eyeshadow Palette priced at £10.00 and the Highlighter Palette priced at £8.00. The Makeup Revolution Soph X Collaboration is pure genius, and even with all the hype that already surrounded these palettes I am still very impressed – and very obsessed!

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation

Now this is an exciting product!! Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation has had a lot of hype building up to its launch, and I will admit I was among those waiting online for its launch ready to buy them before they sold out! Stick Foundations have become a popular alternative to traditional Foundations, providing a fuller coverage and quicker application. So when Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation was about to launch, I was ready to dive straight in!

Makeup Revolution Claims:

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation

The easy-to-apply stick formula melts into skin, blending seamlessly to leave a fresh and dewy finish.
Twist up, swipe on and blend out with fingers, a beauty sponge or your favourite foundation brush.

The packaging of this Stick Foundation is adorable! A beautiful pink nude frosted plastic with rose gold detailing, so gorgeous. These were actually larger than I had expected too. The shade number is clearly printed on the bottom of the product, so it is easy to tell them apart if you have a more than one shade to use like I do. It twists to reveal the foundation, and there is a decent amount of product in these for a stick foundation. While other more expensive brands may contain more product in theirs, for £5.00 – yes £5.00 – the amount of product in this is exceptional value.

I think the most exciting feature of the Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation is the shade range. There are 18 shades to choose from! Finding your perfect match is easy with the detailed descriptions of the undertones, and at the ridiculously affordable price I chose 4 different shades (F2, F4, F6 & F8) to alternate depending on whether I have tanned or to use to bronze or define. The massive shade range is incredible for such an affordable brand, especialliay compared to others creating products in usually 6-8 shades.

So the big question, is it actually any good? To test this out I used all 4 shades I have in different areas of my face so as to also try to define and bronze, and blended half with a brush and half with a beauty sponge. This is a pretty full coverage foundation, so try not to literally paint yourself with it as you may end up with a cake face! Start with less and add more as you need. The product goes on smoothly and glides across the skin, and to be honesty I didn’t notice much difference between using a brush or a beauty sponge. If anything I found it easier to blend with the brush compared to a sponge being my usual choice, but there really wasn’t a lot in it. The product does tend to dry fairly quickly, so i would recommend applying in sections and blending as you go.

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation

The finish I absolutely love. Full coverage (without looking like a mask), and leaving a gorgeous dewy glow. Usually I would use a setting powder, but I enjoyed the finish so much I just powdered around my eyes where I tend to crease and slightly on the t-zone to avoid getting too oily but to keep the skin glowing. It did ever so slightly cling a little to dry patches, but dampening the brush or sponge and dabbing over the top smoothed this out immediately.

Overall, I love it. Definitely worth the hype. A gorgeous product in gorgeous packaging, and so darn cheap! I think this would work perfectly with the Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer, which comes in the matching 18 shades plus more!

Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation has just reinforced the brands wonderful reputation, and this is yet another new product from them to become a definite favourite of mine! Well Done Makeup Revolution!!

Makeup Revolution Ultimate Blush & Light & Contour Palette 2018

Now this is a palette! I ordered my Makeup Revolution Ultimate Palette online and honestly had no idea just how epic it was going to be! And big! I was expecting a typical sized palette with small sized shades, but no! This palette has 32 – yes – 32 full sized highlight, blush, contour, strobe and bronze shades packed into this mammoth palette. I actually don’t know where to begin!

The colour selection in this palette is just awesome. There are shades to suit every skin tone, but each one is so usable for everyone that I know I will use every single shade. There are no shade names on this palette – and I don’t blame them considering how many there are… But I will do my best to put the locations into words!

Set & Bronze

For some reason one of my favourite makeup products is banana toned powders (probably because I love banana scented products, and no these are not scented but the banana tone pleases me just as much). There are 3 to choose from, a neutral tone, the beautiful banana, and then a slightly warmer tone and I can see all of these being used as much as each other for different looks or to set different areas. Underneath these are the bronzing and contouring shades. With 5 different tones to play around with these are fab for bronzing all over as well as detailed contouring. The second from the bottom is a gorgeous shimmery bronze, that come the summer I know will be a top favourite.

Highlight

On to the highlighters, and it really is difficult not to explode with excitement at the range of colours here. 8 magnificent shimmery highlighters, ranging from my beloved banana, through champagnes and golds and finished off with a stunning lilac. There is no glitter, or even any obvious sparkle. The shimmer infused into these is just heavenly and they are so soft on the skin. Other than the banana tone my current favourite has to be the third from the bottom, a gorgeous hint of bronze giving a stunning but understated golden glow.

Makeup Revolution Ultimate Palette 2018
Blush

And finally, the blushes. Just looking at these makes me so happy! There is every shade of blush you could ever possibly need, both matte and slight shimmers. Ranging from mauve through to bright pink, then from oranges and coral tones to nude pastels. I would cross some of these over into bronzers as I have fairly pale skin, but again for summer looks using these as a bronzey pop of colour on the cheeks will be incredible.

All of the products in this palette will look beautiful together, and there are so many combinations to try! The pigmentation is excellent as always with Makeup Revolution products, and they blend together so beautifully it really is hard to stop. All of the colours are buildable, so be daring and try shades that may usually be out of your comfort zone.

The Makeup Revolution Ultimate Palette is priced at £10.00. I know – unreal!! The quality of this palette for the price is insane, and it provides every shade of blush, bronze and highlight you could ever need – probably for the whole year (although they make such beautiful palettes I can’t guarantee I won’t be buying others too…).

I am so impressed with this palette, and it has already become an absolute must have for all occasions. It is perfect for trying out different looks and shades you may not normally go for, and I definitely recommend using this to give your makeup routine a little “spruce up”. Simply Beautiful!
