e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil
e.l.f. Cosmetics is one of my absolute favourite brands for makeup. I have loved every product I have tried from them, and the e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil has been no exception. I tried this brow product out when I decided my previous brow pencil was just too expensive to use on a daily basis, so the idea behind this was to find an alternative to wear every day and use my old one for “special occasions”. However, I have been completely won over by this and it is now the only brow product I use – all the time, every day and special occasions. Definitely a holy grail product!
e.l.f. Instant Lift Brow Pencil shapes, defines, and fills in brows for a natural, polished look. The dual-sided design applies colour with the fine tip liner on one side and tames and combs brows with the other to create natural and defined-looking eyebrows.
The e.l.f. Cosmetics website also breaks down the shades to help find your colour match.
My problem with eyebrow products has always been warmth, I have a cool undertone to my hair and I have had difficulty finding eyebrow products to match. But this is perfect – literally. I use Neutral Brown, and it has the perfect taupe / ash undertone that has always beenthe goal. The colour is so natural it perfectly mimics my brow hairs, and allows me to shape and fill in areas without having to go overboard to even out colours (always avoiding a Sharpie brow!). There is also a lighter option – Taupe, and a darker option – Deep Brown.
With previous eyebrow products I have tried (which are also a lot more expensive) their main feature has been the super fine tip, and I will admit the e.l.f. Instant Brow Pencil does appear to have a thicker tip which could seem off-putting. But it really doesn’t apply in that way, and when it looses its sharpness it is still SO easy to create super fine hair like strokes that blend beautifully. Plus it has incredible staying power that lasts all day.
The brow comb on the opposing end serves its purpose well. I’m not one to get excited over an eyebrow brush, but it is soft enough to not scratch and strong enough to easily shape the brow hairs. It does exactly what it is supposed to do with ease.
Going back to my original motivation for buying this product, the price is absolutely mesmerizing. It is £3.00! How crazy is that!? E.l.f. products are always very affordable, but the quality and colour of this brow product for the price of a sandwich is ridiculous! AND if you subscribe to their mailing list you will get notified of their offers – one of which is 50% off. This happens fairly regularly, and makes the already epic price of this product doubly epic.
Hopefully I have made my feelings about the e.l.f. Instant Brow Lift pretty clear, but to clarify – it really is amazing. And at this price, the real question is can you afford NOT to try it!?
Have you tried this brow product? Let me know your thoughts!
