Lily Lolo Mineral Concealer Review

Lily Lolo Mineral Concealer Review

Lily Lolo is brand I came across quite some time ago when I first started trying to find cruelty free brands. Their collection has expanded so much since then, and they really are beautiful products. Lily Lolo Mineral Concealer is one of the first products I purchased from them, and I have continued to use it time and time again. It is so versatile and can be used in so many ways, it has become a genuine staple item in my makeup bag.

Lily Lolo Claims:
Our Mineral Concealer provides a heavier coverage to effortlessly conceal blemishes, imperfections and dark circles; you will be amazed at the staying power of such a soft delicate loose powder.

Lily Lolo’s description outlines this product perfectly. Starting with the coverage, to me it is somewhere between an under eye setting powder and a full on concealer. The consistency is so fine and soft that it literally glides over the skin – and it doesn’t crease! I mostly use mine on its own and it takes away any under eye darkness, but if I am looking for more of a fuller coverage I will use it as a setting powder over the top of a cream concealer (this results in mega full coverage!)

In regards to its’ staying power, it really does last all day. I wouldn’t say it lasts all day and all night (do any?), but because of its incredible consistency if I want it carry on into the evening I just gently swipe my concealer brush over the top and this livens it all back up. As I mainly use this alone on a day to day basis it really is amazing how quick and easy it is to apply – in a few seconds I look awake and in a word – “rested”.

The packaging? To be honest, I love Lily Lolo’s packaging in general. I think black and white along with the frosted container looks so sleek and clean. There is an internal cover to twist too, which massively helps avoiding any wastage or mess.

There are currently 4 shades to this concealer (I have Blondie) and the descriptions given on the website of the undertones are so helpful. As the concealer is fairly small to begin with there is only one size available, but a lot of their other products come in sample sizes so you can try them out before purchasing a full size (even the sample sizes are in tiny little frosted pots – so cute!).

Priced at £9.00, I wouldn’t say this concealer is particularly cheap or expensive, definitely middle of the scale. And due to its’ soft powdered formula it lasts for such a long time, which in my opinion makes it worth spending that little extra to begin with. Just think of it as an investment!
